PLEASE BE SAFE

You might think that you are safe that you don't have to worry about AidS you might be the kind of person that thinks AIDS is a white persons disease or a black persons disease but if you think that, think twice because AIDS is affecting everyone, not only your neighbours because some day it might happen to you...why do we react like that, why do we always think that AIDS is a diease only for other people and not for us...I'll tell you why it's because we are SCARED!!! We are scared of the truth so if you can denie the truth we think that we are safe, but we are never safe we are in constant danger of becoming infected with HIV/AIDS.

Here are some examples of what AIDS is doing to the world!!

South Africa: the total of AIDS deaths in 2003 was about 370 000 people.

Hungry: the total of AIDS deaths in 2003 was unknown

France: the total of deaths in 2003 was less then 1000

Zimbabwe: the total of deaths in 2003 was about 170 000 if not more

Why is there such a variety of difference in the number of people dying of AIDS in each country of course it has to do with the amount of people living there but if you look at the percentages you will see that there are still too many coutries where the death toal for AIDS is too high because the gouverment does not informe the peopel about it or that the gouverment just denies the threat of HIV/AIDS to there countries.

AIDS

Silence and ignorance have promote the AIDS epidemic in Africa perhaps more than any other factors. In Malawi, where until the end of dictator Hastings Banda's rule in 1994 women were barred from wearing short skirts and men could be jailed for having long hair, public discussion of AIDS was forbidden. According to the government, AIDS didn't exist inside Malawi. Catherine Phiri, 38, knew otherwise. She tested positive in 1990, after her husband had died of the disease. Forced to quit her job as a nurse when colleagues began to gossip, she sought refuge with relatives in the capital, Lilongwe....
